THE PROCESS
Design
Using 3d designing software to create the design in 3d plastic.
Moulds
Creating plaster moulds for each of the seven pieces. Some more complex than others and consisting of up to five parts.
Casting
Working with slip is a bit of a waiting game, waiting for moulds to dry out, for walls to thicken, for shapes to take form. But it’s always worth the wait.
Firing
The pieces go though two firings, bisque and glaze, with the hope they survive and all shrink at the same rate, to create the collection of work.
